These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LeanBills, operated by LeanBills / Polsia ("we," "us," or "our") at leanbills.polsia.app. By creating an account or using LeanBills, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
LeanBills is an AI-powered utility bill analysis platform. You upload photos or PDFs of your electric, gas, or internet bills; our AI extracts the rates and fees; we benchmark your rates against market averages and produce a savings report. LeanBills is an informational tool, not a licensed financial advisor, energy broker, or utility consultant. Our reports are estimates based on publicly available market data and AI analysis — they are not guarantees of savings.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes. You may not share your account, create accounts for others without authorization, or use automation to create accounts in bulk.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice, at our discretion. We will not refund unused subscription time for accounts terminated for violations.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason not prohibited by law.
LeanBills offers three tiers:
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to active annual subscribers until renewal.
You retain ownership of the bill files you upload. By uploading a bill, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and analyze that file for the purpose of generating your savings report. We do not use your bill files to train AI models or share them with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy. Bill files are deleted after 30 days.
You warrant that you own or have the right to upload any files you submit.
LeanBills uses AI (OpenAI GPT-4o Vision) to read and parse bill data. AI systems are not perfect. We make no warranty that extracted data, rate comparisons, or savings estimates are accurate, complete, or up to date. Do not make financial decisions solely based on LeanBills output without independent verification. Always verify any action steps (switching providers, negotiating rates) with official sources.
The LeanBills platform, design, and all original content we create are our property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.
The word mark "LeanBills" and associated logos are our property. Don't use them without permission.
LeanBills relies on third-party infrastructure (OpenAI, Cloudflare R2, Neon, Postmark). We are not responsible for outages or failures of these services. Your use of LeanBills is subject to those providers' terms where applicable.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEANBILLS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF LEANBILLS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN FULL.
LEANBILLS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LeanBills, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service in a manner not authorized by these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We'll send email notice for material changes to paid subscribers.
